HIGH UP

“Above all peaks is peace, in all treetops you feel, barely a breath …”

Even Goethe knew it: heights and peaks offer a majestic beauty and tranquillity that captivates every hiker and walker. The sublime view from the top, the clear mountain air and the silence of the mountains create an incomparable atmosphere that invigorates the senses and touches the soul.
Climbing peaks is not only a physical challenge, but also a journey to inner peace and a connection with nature. The view over the sweeping landscapes and majestic mountain ranges broadens our horizons and reminds us of the size and diversity of the world.
Hiking and walking at higher altitudes also offers a number of health benefits. The physical activity strengthens the cardiovascular system, promotes endurance and builds muscle. The fresh mountain air is rich in oxygen and cleanses the lungs, while contact with nature reduces stress and increases general well-being.
Heights and peaks are wonderful retreats where you can clear your thoughts, relieve stress and recharge your batteries. They are places of inspiration and amazement at the beauty of nature. Hiking and walking at higher altitudes is therefore not only a physical adventure, but also a practical way to find inner peace.

Try it out for yourself!

HORNISGRINDE

The majestic Hornisgrinde is the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest. A breathtaking view of the region awaits you at the summit. Hikers and cyclists can explore nature on well-maintained paths and experience the unique high moor. The Grinde Hütte, situated at an altitude of 1155m, is the perfect end to a tour on the Hornisgrinde.

PUSH HEAD

The Stöcker Kopf offers hikers and cyclists an impressive natural spectacle. At the summit, a panorama opens up that ranges from fields and forests to distant mountain ranges. The route there is ideal for e-bike enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Unfortunately, the Glasmännlehütte hut on the Stöckerkopf is not currently open. A new building is being planned.

RINKENTURM

The Rinkenturm is a 23m high observation tower with a fantastic view over the heights of Baiersbronn. It was built in 1914 by the Württemberg Black Forest Association on the 751m-high Rinkenkopf. Whether on foot or by e-bike, the ascent to the Rinkenturm rewards you with a spectacular view. A cozy stop at the Sattelei hiking hut, just around the corner, rounds off this excursion.

LOTHARPFAD

In 1999, hurricane Lothar left a trail of devastation in our region. On the Lothar Trail, you can explore and understand how the forest and nature regenerate themselves after such an event. An educational and exciting place, a unique nature experience.
